Her great grandfather (Prithviraj Kapoor), her grandfather (Raj
Kapoor) and his two brothers (Shammi & Shashi), her mother (Babita),
her father (Randhir) and his two brothers (Rishi & Rajiv) have
all been film stars over the last fifty years and her sister (Karisma)
have been acting in Bollywood flicks keeping it all within the
family.

Her favorite Films are Awaara, Sangam,Bobby, Kal Aaj Aur Kal.
Though she debuted in Refugee, it was the third movie she
signed. She first started work on Ajnabee. She shot for Kaho
Naa... Pyaar Hai for six days, then walked out of the project.
Due to technical diffuculties Refugee was released before
Ajnabee.
Kapoor sang for herself on the song "Jab Nahin Ayete Tum", for
the movie Dev. This is unusual; most songs are sung by
playback singers. The song was a pop hit.
Turned down a role in Bride and Prejudice (2004) based on Jane
AAusten's classic - Pride and Prejudice, co-starring
ex-Miss-World and popular actor Aishwarya Rai.
Very recently filed a legal case against a reputed film
journal for publishing pics of some close kissing-moments with
actor Shahid Kapoor at a Mumbai night club, which she claims
was false and got-up.
