Kareena Kapoor belongs to one of the most prestigious families in Bollywood. Her parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor, along with charismatic sister, Karisma, are some of the few renowned members of her lineage. Kareena's assets include her versatile acting aptitude and ravishing features embodied in loads of confidence.

Never in the history of films has a star sibling risen to a status of a mega star in a short period of time as has Kareena Kapoor. Even as a 10-year-old, when Beboo (as she’s fondly called) tried on wigs and new shades of lipsticks in her sister Karisma’s make-up room, everyone knew that she would eventually join movies. Minor differences led to her walking out of the project, and wisely so, since the film did nothing for its heroine Amisha Patel. Refugee was a perfect launch for Kareena, who with her ethereal looks managed to carve a niche for herself as a performing actress as opposed to a glamour doll.

The film did not do well but she was noticed. She had done Yaadein in opposite Hrithik, and Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gham, Ashoka opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Mujhe Kuch Khena Hai opposite Tusshar Kapoor, then she has Sooraj Barjatya’s film, a love triangle with both Hrithik and Abhishek Bachchan. In 2003 Kareena's Chameli released in which her performance is being noticed. She got Stardust special award for Chameli.

Her spunk is what separates her from rest of the glam brigade. And beneath that translucent skin lies a hunger that a truckload of her fav. snicker bars can't satiate. She brushes aside her famine at the box office. She's supremely confident it will bow to her one day. She believes in herself strongly. She's certainly convinced a long line of filmmakers, fat pay packets in hand. Now all she needs is one blockbuster.

A passerby with a camera phone filmed Kareena kissing her boyfriend Shahid Kapoor (in a hotel's public area) and released the video. A Mumbai newspaper (Midday) published stills from the video. Kareena and Shahid at first denied that the pictures were of them, but later reversed themselves and complained of an invasion of privacy.

Speculations are rife that the sister of the actress Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor has broken up with her beau Shahid Kapoor and is seeing the nawab Saif Ali Khan now. Kareena and Saif came and remained together at the Lakme India Fashion Week. In talking to mediapersons Saif admitted that he is love with the blue eyed beauty of the Kapoor family. The Omkara hero also said that “We are very happy together.”

Saif and Kareena were mainly accompanied by the renowned designer Manish Malhotra who was also there last year when Kareena walked the ramp with Shahid Kapoor to reaffirm their affection.

It is also said that Kareena has shifted he residence in one of the apartments close to Saif’s house.

Kareena is the brand ambassador for Citizen Watches. The company ahs named their latest product after her name. Kareena was quite pleased with the fact that watches are named after her. She addressed the media with her beautiful smile and posed several pictures wearing the Kareena Citizen Diamond Watches.

On the screen, Kareena will now be seen with the star director Karan Johar after the blockbuster ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham’. But this time it is not a complete three hours movie but a three minutes ad film for a popular brand of paint. When asked about it Kareena said “I have a weakness for Karan Johar’. Recalling her past experiences with Karan she added that “I was treated like a princess on the sets of K3G”. but why did she agree for a paint act? "Because I like colours. I associate colours with youth and I feel I connect best with young audiences. Karan will be able to bring out the most vibrant side to my personality in that one short film. I'm as excited about it as I'd be about any feature film. I've realised Karan and I are inseparable."

About her relationship with her boyfriend and chocolate hero Shahid Kapoor, Kareena said "Things couldn't get better for both of us. Shahid had 'Vivah' in 2006. 2007 starts for me with one of my favourite directors Karan and ends with another favourite, Mani Ratnam."

What about another mega hit with Karan? "A-ha, wait and watch. There're plenty of surprises from me in 2007," Kareena made a move.

For the first time the queen of hearts Kareena Kapoor and the actor-director who is beyond all eulogizing, Aamir Khan will appear together on the silver screen in the Mani Ratnam’s forthcoming film “Lajjo”. Everybody behind the scenes is expecting the duo to be a great hit. Kareena Kapoor said “first Omkara and now I have just signed the formal contract for Mani Ratnam’s new film Lajjo. Though we start shooting from January 2007, Mani wants me to start preparing for the role from November 2006.” She added “it cannot be a coincidence that I am doing two literary adaptations back to back, first Shakespeare in Omkara and now Ismat Chutgal’s story Lajjo. I know Urdu is very different from Shakespeare, but I have literature is literature. I am glad I have arrived at this new phase in my career so effortlessly.” Regarding working with Aamir she said “it is every actress’ dream to work with Aamir. I am a huge fan of his. When I saw Rang de Basanti, I was jealous because I wanted to be a part of it.”

Shahid and Kareena who have already made it to the news long time back due to their involvement with each other, are now looking forward for a permanent relationship. Shahid Kapoor, the son of versatile actor Pankaj Kapoor shares a special bond with Kareena. Though the duo has yet got to prove their talent in Hindi cinema, their off-screen chemistry is a big hit. In an interview Shahid said, “both of us are looking at a permanent relationship. Neither os us is frivolous. Hopefully, (we will have) a long and fruitful future.” he added that Kareena is one of the nicest persons he has ever known and he loves her boldness. Shahid also said that he differs a lot from Kareena for she is temperamental and he is quite calm. She is not an introvert but to an extent Shahid is. But then it is true that opposites always attract.
